Anton Froeyman

Anton is a Belgian academic who worked at Ghent University for about nine years. He holds a PhD in philosophy and an MA in both history and philosophy, and a C2 Cefr Certificate in English (the highest level). In the course of his career in academic research, he published 18 research papers in international journals, as well as a research monograph. He also organized conferences, gave invited talks and performed peer review for journals and funding agencies. He currently teaches a course on academic publishing at the Ghent University Doctoral Schools Program.

 

 

Kenan Van De Mieroop

Kenan grew up in the Morningside Heights area of New York City. He spent his early years surrounded by academics from neighboring Columbia University, where his parents still teach. He left the United States and moved to Great Britain when he was 18 to read history and politics at the University of Edinburgh in the MA honors program. He obtained his degree in 2008 after also spending one year on an exchange at the Université de Provence Aix-Marseille in France. Kenan moved to Belgium, his father’s country of birth, in 2009 and studied history at Ghent University, obtaining a masters degree in 2010. In 2011 he began his B.O.F. funded Ph.D. at Ghent University, which he defended succesfully in january 2016. Kenan has a broad background in the humanities with a particular expertise in history, philosophy, politics, literature and economics. He has published several articles, but not as many as Anton.
